Jonathan Sabbagh

Co-Founder and CEO, Journey Clinical

Jonathan is the Co-Founder and CEO of Journey Clinical, the leading telehealth platform for licensed psychotherapists in the US to expand their practice with transformative psychedelic therapies. A serial entrepreneur, Jonathan built his career in finance, spending over two decades working for hedge funds in Switzerland and NYC. After receiving a difficult diagnosis of PTSD and extreme burnout, Jonathan left the world of finance to focus on his mental health. During this period, he experienced firsthand the transformative benefits of psychedelic therapies, particularly plant medicine and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), which transformed his condition and inspired him to begin formal studies to become a clinical psychotherapist. Jonathan’s personal breakthroughs with psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, as well as his research studies at The New School motivated Jonathan to expand access to safe, effective psychedelic therapy for all. The result was the founding of Journey Clinical in 2020, a novel decentralized clinic mode for clinical psychotherapists that provides unprecedented access to KAP for their patients, giving over 1M+ licensed mental health professionals in the U.S. access to transformative psychedelic therapies to augment their practice and significantly improve patient lives.

As more medical professionals learn about the potential for healing that can be achieved using psychedelics and psychedelic-assisted therapies, many may want to look into providing these modalities themselves. As these treatments often follow a completely new paradigm for healing, adding them to one’s practice may also combat the burnout that comes with frustrations related to the traditional medical model.

Prior to the impending FDA approval of MDMA-assisted therapy, practitioners often start with ketamine, which is currently legal. But how does one start to add ketamine-assisted therapy to their practice? And for those who don’t have prescribing capabilities, what are the logistics of getting ketamine to their patients? For this month’s webinar, we wanted to help answer some of the questions practitioners may have when considering starting their own psychedelic medicine practice.

For this webinar we were honored to have panelists to cover:

  • How to get trained in different psychedelic medicine modalities
  • How to work with prescribers to obtain ketamine for a therapy practice
  • How to advertise your services effectively and legally

…and much more!

As always, there was ample time for audience Q & A, so be sure to watch to the end!
